All services on the Edge-IX Peering LAN are Ethernet, available at various speeds, and with a range of service options to suit business requirements.

Range of Locations

As a distributed exchange, Edge-IX is available in key metro centres and at regional points across the UK. This enables our members to connect at the point closest to them and allows for more flexibility in how they can use the Exchange services.

Cost Effective Services

Ports are available in a range of services from 100Mbps, 1Gbps to 10Gbps, and multiple ports can be used. Edge-IX is a highly cost-effective exchange for service providers as our members only pay a one off joining fee, and there is no charge to use our 100Mbps and 1Gbps services. There is an annual charge to use our 10Gbps service. Service bundles are available to members taking more than one service.

Backed by SLAs

Unlike many other exchanges that operate on a ‘best efforts’ basis all services offered by Edge-IX are backed by comprehensive service level agreements. Our Service Desk and 24 x 7 manned engineering team provides 24 x 7 monitoring of the network and support on all services to our Members.
